Marlene Heymer, ASID

Marlene is a 2000 Kappa Omicron Nu National Honor Society graduate of Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina.  There she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design with a minor in Studio Art.  Prior to Meredith College, she earned her Associates in Arts degree in 1997 at Saint Mary’s College in Raleigh, North Carolina.

She is a professional member of the American Society of Interior Design (ASID), and is an active member of the Carolinas Chapter of ASID.  Currently, Marlene is serving as Directory Chair for the ASID Carolinas Chapter.

Career achievements have included earning her National Council of Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) certification in 2003; becoming an American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) professional member in 2004; receiving an Honor Award from the ASID Carolinas in Retail Design in 2005; receiving an Honor Award from the ASID Carolinas in Singular Space Design in 2006;  receiving a Merit Award from the ASID Carolinas in Singular Space Design in 2006; Merit Award from the ASID Carolinas in Singular Space Design in 2007 and was honored to receive the ASID Chapter Presidential Citation for Distinguished Service to the Society and Profession in 2006.

Marlene is the Design & Drawing Studio Manager for Schelfe and Associates in which she oversees and manages all staff within the studio.  She incorporates her interior design skills and talents in both the commercial and residential projects.  She is extremely versatile and knowledgeable in drawing, design and production implementation of CAD (Computer Aided Design) technology.

A native Long Island girl, Marlene loves visiting her favorite city, NYC, as often as she can to experience the latest influences in design trends.  When she’s in town, and away from the office, you can find her mentoring future interior designers at Meredith College, and cheering on her favorite sports team…the Carolina Hurricanes!
