Contemporary Cooking
This remodeling project was to a kitchen and breakfast room. The Owners desired a new and updated kitchen to compliment and keep within the character of the contemporary design of the main house. The new design included the removal of some interior walls, upgraded cabinets, appliances, lighting and finishes.
Custom maple cabinets with stainless steel drawer fronts were designed for the new kitchen. The cabinets are accented with linear stainless steel cabinet pulls and highlighted from above with low voltage track lighting. The cabinets provide a visually stunning backdrop which anchors the kitchen. Glass mosaic tiles and black granite countertops in a river washed finish provide contrast to the overall clean and light appearance of the kitchen.
Tim & Marlene were awarded the 2006 ASID Design Specialty Honor Awards for the design of this project.
