Contemporary Chic

This new home for a highly active professional couple needed to be a chameleon of comfort, arts and "fun" to keep the interests of the Owners.  Always on the go and living very busy professional lives the Owners desired an interior that they could be themselves in regardless of the environment beyond their front door.

Avid art collectors, the Owners played an important role in establishing the basis for the interiors.  A love of cream, gold and purple was destined to be the main color palette for the home.  These colors are intertwined throughout the home and used in varying degrees from room to room.

The main living area is a large two story space with a central fireplace and large vaulting windows.  The room needed to be intimate enough to be enjoyed by the couple yet open enough to be used for entertaining large groups of people. The adjoining kitchen is a sharp contrast to the curves of the large sectional in the living room.  This space, designed as a chef's kitchen is the centerpiece when entertaining.

Tim was awarded the 2006 ASID Design Specialty Honor Award for this space.
