A creative interpretation of beach vernacular architecture is re-worked in the creation of this restaurant and bar. The client desired a fun and expressive interior to compliment the adjacent food store and deli and the design needed to play on a water theme since the project is located near Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina.

Taking cues from the client's existing sea life metal sculptures, a funky and hip interior was designed for this restaurant and bar. A color palette of blue, green and teal was chosen for the interior scheme. The color choices are reflected in the wall finishes, ceiling treatment and upholstery. Plastic corrugated panels are backlight with fluorescent lighting to wash the walls with light and create drama. Custom designed undulating wave banners and jellyfish-inspired light fixtures reinforce the underwater theme.

Tim was awarded a 2002 ASID Design Specialty Honor Award for this space.
