This project involved the design of a new restaurant and café near a coastal beach town. Details from the architecture of the surrounding residential homes were used as concepts in development of the interior. The client desired the look of an outdoor café located in an interior space. The dining area would be located in the front of the space followed by the deli and cashier and then the kitchen.
A shed awning covers the perimeter walls and helps re-enforce the outdoor courtyard appeal. Custom designed sheet metal clouds, galvanized palm trees and a digital graphic of washed pebbles set within the ceramic tile floor set the stage for the interior. Brushed meal dining chairs with small café tables are set spaciously throughout the restaurant.
