French Revival
This extensive remodeling to a former small kitchen and family dining area into a larger and more usable family kitchen and dining area was one of the two challenges presented to the design team. The second challenge was for the complete remodeling design to the master bath.
Hand-glazed custom made cabinets were designed for the new kitchen. Exposed reclaimed wood beams were added to the ceiling to create a rich warm texture and were selected to compliment the French character of this home. The center island cabinets are designed as a focal point and gathering center for the family. These cabinets, hand glazed in a moss green color, act to heighten the tones of green used in the granite countertops and appearing the glazed wall tiles.
The remodeling design for master bath called for a more contemporary style and detail. The new master bath includes his and her vanities, a large central tub, a separate toilet room and a large walk in shower. Rich stained cherry wood cabinets add detail and warmth to the overall color pallet and accent the natural stone travertine tile.
