Schelfe and Associates, Inc. was selected to direct and design the interiors for the Old Chatham Golf Club. Old Chatham is an established private golf club focused on the enjoyment of a truly unique golf experience while in a private and serene setting. Old Chatham is valued by those who desire a high level of service with a challenging golf course which is un-crowded and highly regarded both locally and beyond North Carolina.

The interiors for the new Clubhouse was to reflect a traditional interior with rich architectural detail, warm tones and comfortable furnishings combining to form an elegant yet understated atmosphere for the Club. The new clubhouse would incorporate a main dining hall, commercial kitchen, large covered veranda, men's and women's locker rooms and bath rooms, a professional pro-shop, a conference room and management offices.

Working along side the Old Chatham building committee and JDavis Architects of Raleigh, the design team at Schelfe and Associates set out to design the look and style for Old Chatham. The design team at Schelfe and Associates provided design and development of all interior elements including design and detailing of all interior millwork, lighting design and fixture selections, selection and specifications of all interior finishes and provided selection, procurement and installation of all furniture, area rugs, artwork and accessories.

This project was completed within a nine month construction period. During construction Schelfe and Associates attended project meetings, site visits and walkthroughs of the site and provided construction administration services to ensure the quality, interior details and overall success of the project.

The Old Chatham Clubhouse opened in November of 2008
